Laboratories and library at MCSP
MCSP perhaps has the best laboratories in the whole country. but the best part is it useless!!!!!
the reason is simple, they won't let students use the apparatus and teach them how to use. some teachers are actually nuts, and they totally screw it up. some of them have ego problem. but things may have changed since i left MCSP.
but I'm ready to bet on the conditions of library. through out my three years in MCSP when ever i required a book and went to library they had some sorts of excuse not to give a book. there is principle's visit in this week, we can't issue you a book right now, audit is gong on we can't issue you a book. blah blah blah. there is a big building only for library. i saw juniors having library classes but i know very well there are only few books which can be used as good reference book. back then i had better collection of book than library.
another show piece of MCSP is the computer lab. there are about 30+ computers in the lab, but the computers hardly had MS WORD, MS EXCEL. office building had 128 kbps dedicated broadband line. which mostly used by the clerks to download videos. all mcsp can so is to make some good looking advertisements out of those labs.
pathetic.
Communications at MCSP
those of you who have been to mcsp once In a life know very well that is a hard to reach place. but by saying communication at mcsp i mean the facilities enjoyed by the students of mcsp. in a nutshell, it is poor.
back in time when i was the student of mcsp students were allowed to make phone calls once in two weeks only for five minutes. the letters which students wrote were checked by the teachers, searching for some sort of excuse to block that letter from being posted. i believe most of the readers will agree with me that it is absolutely nonsense. the world is advancing further by communicating with each other, where as mcsp has restricted all the means of communication. Whats there excuse? "we don't want students to waste their valuable time to be wasted by talking over phones. five minutes is enough to talk with your parents." and here's my opinion,BULLSHIT. the students who have girl friends they simply use their personal cell phone right under the authorities nose. they know it, they search for it, but most of the time their attempts result in vain. there are means to make calls more than five minutes, there are means to post a letter from mcsp and the authority won't even know, there are means to hide a cell phone in mcsp and keep it safe. authority can do nothing about it. you know why, because a portion of mcsp authority is control by students. call me nuts but this is the way it happens. the sad part is we the normal goody goody students get caught up in between. i don't know about the others, when i quit mcsp after ssc in 2008 i couldn't mix with my old pals. it seemed so strange. my old friends are all around me but yet i feel like a stranger, unable to get the idea about what they are talking about. i feel like mcsp is like a swimming pool with lot of comforts (apparently), but sooner or later they all have to face the sea. many will not be able to survive. of all the seniors (no offense) i hear only Hamza bhaia made it to BUET.

Digging up the past
the season is changing, you can feel the breeze, see the leaves dry. it reminds me the sweet and sour memories of my life at mcsp. for long long time i had a plan to start a web site about mcsp. i even registered a web address but i had been a little inexperienced i couldn't start the web site. but now a days i write blogs more or less regularly. so i thought why not start a blog about mcsp. so when i walking down the road, heading towards my home after coaching at Dipak sir early winter breeze blew off the dust over my old memories. even though i have an exam tomorrow, i will be narrating few of my stories to you today and this will continue until you get the whole picture.
i still remember those chilly days when we had to wake up really early, and jog and exercise(kind of) for about an hour with only in a half shirt and half pant. then again rush to your dorm, bathe in cold water and race for the dining hall when you can barely see 10 feet in front of you at best. then after the class lunch, and a little rest. before you know you are asleep word boys jerk you out of bed for games fall-in (standing in a special formation). an hour of games you are more or less at your own. as I'm not an athlete, most of the time i walked far end of our campass (our campass is really big.) after a cup of tea we would find our self walking towards our class room once again. chatting signing whistling with friends, acting out how stupidly a particular sir took our class (demo).at mid night when i reached the bed i sometimes felt too tired to open my uniform even.
but after 2 years, i stand at a different environment and what i think? not bad, not bad at all. i feel proud.
